Depth Perception
What is Depth Perception?
Depth perception is the visual ability that enables the observer to judge the spatial relationships of objects, their distances from the observer, and their relative sizes. It involves binocular cues, such as the slight difference between the images seen by each eye, and monocular cues, including size, overlap, and perspective. A good depth perception is crucial in product photography to accurately represent the products in a way that appeals to viewers.
